Common patterns
六点半 - 6:30
七点一刻 - 7:15
八点三刻 - 8:45
差五分九点 - 8:55

It is 6:30 now.
我们七点一刻上课。
We have class at 7:15.
他晚上八点三刻回家。
He goes home at 8:45 in the evening.
Usage note
For HSK1 learners, 点, 半, and sometimes 一刻 are the most useful forms.
