都
How it works
都 can emphasize that a whole amount or all members of a group are included.
The pattern
Subject / Quantity Phrase + 都 + Verb / Adjective
Example sentences
这些书我都看了。
I read all these books.
两个学生都来了。
Both students came.
菜都吃完了。
All the dishes were finished.
Usage note
都 often appears after the thing or people being included.
