Expressing “Again” in the Future with “zài”

再

zài

How it works

再 means “again” for a future or repeated action that has not happened yet.

The pattern

Subject + 再 + Verb

Example sentences

你明天再来吧。

Nǐ míngtiān zài lái ba.

Come again tomorrow.

我想再看看。

Wǒ xiǎng zài kànkan.

I want to look again.

我们下次再一起吃饭。
