How it works
总是 means “always.” It often describes a repeated habit or a repeated situation.
The pattern
Subject + 总是 + Verb / Adjective
Example sentences
他上课总是很认真。
He is always very serious in class.
妹妹总是忘带钥匙。
My younger sister always forgets to bring her keys.
这个孩子总是笑。
This child is always smiling.
Usage note
Compared with 一直, 总是 focuses more on repeated behavior.
