Expressing “As One Likes” with “jiù”
想……就……
How it works
想……就…… means “do whatever one wants” or “as one likes.”
The pattern
想 + Verb / Phrase, 就 + Verb / Phrase
Example sentences
周末我想睡到几点就睡到几点。
On weekends, I sleep as long as I want.
在这儿你想说什么就说什么。
Here you can say whatever you want.
他有空的时候，想去哪儿就去哪儿。
When he is free, he goes wherever he wants.

This pattern is often used with question words like 什么, 哪儿, 怎么.
