Expressing “Repeatedly” with “fǎnfù”
反复
How it works
反复 (fǎnfù) means “repeatedly,” “again and again,” or “back and forth.” It can describe repeated action, repeated consideration, or repeated change.
Compared with 一再 (yízài) or 再三 (zàisān), 反复 (fǎnfù) often emphasizes repeated process or recurrence, and it can also describe fluctuation.

反复 (fǎnfù) is broader than simple repetition; it can also describe repeated swings, changes, or reconsideration.
