Expressing “Still / Yet” with “réng”

仍 / 仍然

réng / réngrán

How it works

仍 (réng) and 仍然 (réngrán) mean “still,” “yet,” or “nevertheless continuing.” They indicate that a situation continues without change despite time passing or circumstances changing.

仍 (réng) is slightly shorter and often appears in more written style. 仍然 (réngrán) is fuller and can sound more formal or emphatic.
