Expressing “There is no denying” with “bùkě fǒurèn”

不可否认

bùkě fǒurèn

How it works

不可否认 (bùkě fǒurèn) means “it cannot be denied,” “there is no denying,” or “undeniably.” It is used to introduce a point that the speaker believes is objectively true and difficult to dispute.

It is strongly formal and common in writing, speeches, and academic discussion.

Example sentences

不可否认,科技的发展确实极大地提高了人们获取信息的效率。

Bùkě fǒurèn, kējì de fāzhǎn quèshí jí dà de tígāo le rénmen huòqǔ xìnxī de xiàolǜ.

It cannot be denied that the development of technology has indeed greatly improved people’s efficiency in obtaining information.

不可否认,在某些情况下,速度和效率之间确实存在难以避免的矛盾。

Bùkě fǒurèn, zài mǒuxiē qíngkuàng xià, sùdù hé xiàolǜ zhī jiān quèshí cúnzài nányǐ bìmiǎn de máodùn.

There is no denying that in some situations there is indeed an unavoidable contradiction between speed and efficiency.

对于任何改革来说,不可否认的一点是:改变越深入,阻力往往也越大。

Duìyú rènhé gǎigé láishuō, bùkě fǒurèn de yìdiǎn shì: gǎibiàn yuè shēnrù, zǔlì wǎngwǎng yě yuè dà.

For any reform, one undeniable point is this: the deeper the change, the greater the resistance usually becomes.

Key point

This expression signals strong acknowledgment of a fact and often sets up a serious, objective tone.
