Expressing “All” with “suǒyǒu”
所有
How it works
所有 (suǒyǒu) means “all.” It refers to the entire group or total set.
The pattern
所有 (suǒyǒu) + Noun
Example sentences
所有学生都到了。
All the students arrived.
我看了所有的作业。
I looked at all the homework.
所有问题都解决了。
All the problems have been solved.
Key point
This is often more formal than only using 都 (dōu).
